My Thoughts:
I love the style of Cathy Marie Hake and it looks like her daughter, Kelly, is doing a fine job following in her mother's footsteps. This book will keep you turning pages as quick as you can say Salt Lick Holler. The characters have internal struggles that we can all relate to, making it easy to fall in love with them all. You find yourself wishing there were more brothers so you could be a part of the Chance clan. So, pick up a copy for yourself and find out what makes them such a great bunch of characters! I highly recommend this book to all.

My Thoughts:
This was a very good book, but I must say I was a little bothered with how it began. Be prepared for a pretty large dose of reality on an uncomfortable subject. Once you get past that, the book is excellent! The Gregor brothers are characters that you fall in love with from the start. They meet some pretty hard-headed women, but they are able to break through the shells and discover the true beauties within. Cathy has a wonderful way of writing that draws you in and keeps your attention from page one to the end.

Anther great collection of novellas. These authors are quickly becoming two of my favorites. These 2 stories were very easy and quick to read. I love just about anything Christmas and this book was no exception. It was very interesting to have 4 grown men play matchmaking, but they did a great job! I love reading of pioneer days and this little town is one that you can fall in love with in the short time that you are there. I highly recommend visiting Cut Corners and finding out how the daughter of a less than reputable woman makes a new start and a refined woman from the big town of Boston falls in love with this small town in Texas.

I loved this book!!! I was gripped from the very beginning by Ruth. She is such a great character that you can relate to. I love how real she is. The way that she speaks her mind is absolutely refreshing! Cathy did a great job in creating this character! This book is very well written and the pace is very good. She does a great job of introducing the twist toward the end to where it is completely unexpected (I don't want to spoil it by saying more). She also does a great job showing the internal struggle that Josh has regarding Ruth. To like her or not to like her - that is his dilemma. Pick up the book to find out what he decides.

I highly recommend this book. I kept thinking in different scenes how I would love to see this book made into a movie so I could actually see the conversation and how the people were standing just so.

A Stitch in Time

I love books that give a lot of family dynamics. This book reminds me of Lori Wick's Rocky Mountain Memories and A Place Called Home series (which I also highly recommend and will be reviewing sometime in the near future). You get to know everyone in the family and their own unique personalities and interests. This book is easy to read and very enjoyable.

A family of 3 young men, 1 young lady and their grandmother who are very set in their ways have their world turned upside down by the 4 soon-to-be additions. Micah is very set in his ways and doesn't like change. He also doesn't think Deborah can survive in No Man's Land, but she is a much stronger woman than she's given credit for.

Louisa (Lou) falls in love with 2 very special boys and is quite attracted to their guardian, as well. A surprising match for sure!

Josh feels bad for a boy and his sick grandfather that he finds camping on Stafford land. This teenage boy has a big secret and it isn't long before Josh finds out what it is.

Sam, being the last one left is constantly being matched up with the few women available in No Man's Land. The whole town comes together to get him together with the most likely candidate.

The only thing I didn't like was that 'stitchery' is not really a major theme carried throughout.
